Simulations are for each of the following resource types: Global Ecological Footprint (GEF), Energy, and Gross World Product (GWP). There are two types of data: Consumption (C) and population (P). Note that GEF P is the same as GWP P for 1961-1984.

Following is a comparison of estimated energy reserves and the simulation's energy resources. Estimated energy reserves are based on the assumption that reserves are not increased from year to year. The simulation, on the other hand, projects a 0.75% annual increase in resources (as well as a 4.9% annual decrease in capacity).
