Transition Westminster/Arvada/Broomfield

This page is a resource for the Transition Westminster/Arvada/Broomfield group ("T/WAB"), focusing primarily on the development of an energy descent plan for the region. "Energy descent" is the reduction of fossil fuel consumption as quickly as possible to enable the community to survive peak oil and global warming (helping to alleviate the latter in the process).

In addition to the Transition movement's parallel efforts, the main guide for developing this plan is "Plan C" by Pat Murphy. Murphy recommends an annual 5% reduction in overall consumption (rather than a more-than 5% annual increase in the fraction of non-renewable consumption, which would satisfy the requirements indicated by this site's population-consumption model).
