Objections

Following are objections to Obama as president and my responses to them:

Obama is too young and inexperienced.

Sarah Palin has more experience than Obama.

He has 12 years of experience as a legislator, which is as much government service as Sarah Palin -- and representing a lot more people. While McCain may have more than twice as many years, Obama's judgment is more than twice as good. He also has taught constitutional law and specialized in foreign affairs (for his political science degree), which together with his experience as a lawyer and a senator makes him more respectful than McCain of both the Constitution and the rest of the world.
Obama can't do what he says without raising taxes.
He will use the "pay as you go" principle, cutting other programs, repealing Bush's upper-income tax cuts, and closing corporate tax loopholes. While some may consider the latter raising taxes by another name, it amounts to restoring fair taxation.
Obama will cut and run from Iraq.
Obama will "responsibly" withdraw troops; it will be up to the military to determine how.
Obama has an anti-American agenda based on his Muslim education, black cultural/religious experience, and association with shady characters (such as Rev. Wright, Tony Rezco and William Ayers).
Obama is totally open and honest about his agenda, which is very pro-American. He refuses to either take the credit or the blame for the actions of others.
Obama will never get the votes for his agenda.
He has a strong history of negotiation. With a Democratic majority in Congress he'll have an even better chance.
Obama is not for change because he usually votes with his party.
The "change" he advocates is change from the way Republicans have run the government. This will involve, among other things: transparency instead of secrecy, fiscal responsibility instead of waste, favoring the middle class instead of the wealthy, following the Constitution instead of ignoring it, using diplomacy instead of threats, and including everyone in government decisions instead of shutting out those he doesn't like.
Obama is too nice to beat our enemies.
Unlike the bullies running things now and their compatriots who want the job, Obama knows that belligerence does not equal strength. He is strategically smart, choosing the fights that maximize total gain while using the appropriate tactics from the start.
Obama is an elitist and disrespectful of most Americans. Obama truly comes from humble beginnings and carries that humility wherever he goes.
Obama is all talk and no action. Obama has both the ability to communicate and to get things done. His experience bears this out -- Research it!
