Three Disasters and You're OUT!

George Bush and his yes men in Congress were warned of, and did nothing to prevent, three of the greatest disasters in American history: the 9/11 terrorist attacks, the drowning of New Orleans after Katrina, and the mortgage meltdown. Republicans have demonstrated that they are incapable of protecting Americans, which by their own admission is the top priority of government. It would be crazy to keep them in power so they can let another disaster happen.

Specifically:

During its first months in office, leaders of the Bush administration were repeatedly warned that Al Qaeda was planning an attack on America. They weren’t very interested in terrorism until it was too late.

After refusing to adequately fund levee construction in New Orleans and disaster mitigation, Congress and the Bush administration were caught off-guard by the effects of Hurricane Katrina, which were anticipated in a 2001 FEMA study.

While there are a variety of reasons for the mortgage meltdown, equally shared between Republicans and Democrats, the fact is that it was foreseen by Bush's FBI and the party in control of both the Executive and Legislative branches when something could have been done was Republican.
